Alarmio is a small motion detector aimed towards the seasoned traveller or backpacker. It can easily clip onto a backpack, door handle, memory stick or bicycle and if someone tries to take your item the Alarmio will ‘squeal’. That’s right it will make a sound that not only scares the person who attempted to steal your item, but it will humiliate them too! Imagine someone trying to take your bag at the beach whilst you’re in the water. They will literally be left to run away in panic should Alarmio start to sound.
It features a two-level motion alarm that you can activate when you lock the unit. So this means that when the alarm is active, the device will beep if it is moved OR detects movement; such as bumps or vibrations. If the movement continues, or the cable is severed, the loud alarm sounds for 45 seconds and then rearms itself to the current sensitivity level. Okay so we probably know what you’re thinking here. What if someone walks past your backpack or accidentally steps too close to the item? Well that is possible but at the end of the day Alarmio has two levels of motion sensitivity and you get to decide whether it responds to vibrations or movement.
